Anyone who desires more success and greater personal satisfaction must
understand, "Whether we rise above trouble in victory, or go down beneath it in defeat, depends not on the hardships of life, but on the way we react to them."

In 1922 at age 38, Harry S. Truman was deep in debt and out of work but 25 years later he was President to the United States . . . R.H. Macy had seven retail failures before he became the merchant leader of America . . . Dr. Seuss was rejected 27 times before he was published yet now his books have sold over 200 million copies . . Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper because he "had no good ideas."

These and other examples teach the principles:

  • "When storm clouds come, eagles fly! Small birds run for cover!"
  • Why failure is never final
  • How to get the breaks in life

Time requirement:
A minimum of two hours is suggested but may be adapted to a more limited time frame.

The overwhelming majority of people need to believe they were Born to Win They want to lead more productive lives at home and at work . . . and want to know how to be all they can be!
Dr. Joyce Brothers wrote, "The greatest discovery in the last 100 years is the self-image. It chooses our mate, our friends, our occupation, and even sets the limits of our ability to perform."

"While we have long know this truth, only now are we beginning to realize our need to help people develop a strong positive self-image."
(USA Today, Oct. 24, 1991)

This seminar provides an exciting, informative and inspirational understanding of what the self-image is . . . how it affects our daily lives and the lives of others . . . and how anyone can have a positive self-image. Some of the topics covered are:

  • Eight signs of a bad self-image
  • Eight signs of a good self-image
  • Three ways we get our self-image

Tomorrow hurtles towards us bringing to millions of men and women emotion-packed options so new and strange that past experience will not offer clues to dealing with problems. To survive, we must become infinitely more capable of solving problems, making decisions, setting goals, communicating with people and our families, and fully aware of what is happening around us.

Alvin Toffler, in his book Future Shock, wrote that as the 21st century approaches, millions of otherwise psychologically normal people will face an abrupt collision with the future. Many of them will find it increasingly painful to keep up with the incessant demand for change that characterizes our times . . . for them, the future will have arrived too soon!

It isn't the rules that have changed, it is that the rules are ever-changing. Skills,. Talents and abilities that engendered yesterday's successes are not sufficient to meet tomorrow's challenges. This seminar discusses what these changes are and how to manage them - successfully. Course content includes:

  • The Challenge of Change - a stunning look at the way things have and are changing
  • The Complexities of Change - a strange new society is bursting upon us; we live at a time when history has made a sharp break with all past human experience. Our world has broken with the past and there is a fundamental revolutionary change in our society.
  • The Comfort in Change - six steps that show not just what to do but how to enjoy the benefits in managing change.

Time Requirement:
The suggested minimum time is two hours but can be adapted to fill your most desired timetable.

This seminar is especially designed for those people and organizations who realize "there is no such thing as a born leader" . . . that managers "do things right" but "leaders do the right things." The Uncommon Leader knows "we can't control the wind, but we can adjust our sails."

Topics covered in this program are:

  • The Uncommon Attitudes of Leaders
  • The Uncommon Abilities of Leaders
  • The Uncommon Attributes of Leaders
  • The Uncommon Assets of Leaders

Time Requirement:
This seminar can be taught in one-six hour session or in individual seminars of two hours each. An overview of the program can be presented in a two hour seminar and it can also be modified for a keynote speech.

Some years ago a well-known Ivy League college studied one of its graduating classes. Of all the graduates in the study year, only 3% had written realistic goals for their lives. The remaining 97% had no idea where they were going.

Ten years later, that same school went back to the same graduates to find out their progress since graduation. The study found that the 3% who had written, realistic goals had accomplished more in terms of measurable results than the remaining 97% combined.
This seminar easily outlines the steps used by ordinary people who developed the power to overcome obstacles, to come back from disheartening failures, and who defeated overwhelming odds including:

  • Six reasons people do not have this power - Why people don't have goals
  • Six things this power will do for us - What goals will do.
  • Eight steps to finding and using this power - How to get a written goal for every area of your life.

Time Requirement:
A minimum of two hours is suggested but may be adapted to a more limited time frame.

Studies indicate that 40% of us cannot "get things done." This seminar teaches four of the steps necessary in getting things done.

  • Session I - Persuasive Communication
Persuasive communication begins by recognizing that approximately 71% of one's ability to attract followers depends upon "persuasive communication."
  • Session II - How to Turn Stress into Strength
This sixty minute session deals with the tragedy often called the "wear and tear of living." Stress affects 46 million Americans, creating problems that discourage, demean, detour, and even destroy some of us.
  • Session III - The Management of Time
Nobody can manage time, but anyone can manage the activities that take up their time. This session explains why 80% of our time is spent on those things or on those people that only bring us 20% of our results. Understanding the 12 ways most of us waste time and how to reverse that process helps us get "all the time we need."
  • Session IV - The Magic of Motivation
No one can motivate anyone else, but you can create a climate of motivation that allows one to motivate him/herself. This seminar clearly explains "the new motivation," how it works, and how it can help individuals and/or corporations reach new heights.

Time Requirement:
Each of the four sessions is best presented in a two hour format but any or all can be adapted into a smaller time frame.
